We are pleased to support the purchase of a new two‑step positioning platform for Diagnostic Imaging (DI), valued at just over $5,300. This specialized platform allows for DI staff to capture efficient, accurate X‑rays of the feet, ankles, and lower legs. Its design makes it easy to obtain high‑quality weight‑bearing and non–weight‑bearing images, and the built‑in safety grab bars provide stability for patients of all ages.
This equipment replaces an older, modified platform that no longer meets safety standards. Without a proper positioning system, Taber Diagnostic Imaging has had to send patients to Lethbridge for these exams—an inconvenience made even more significant given that Taber has a practicing podiatrist whose patients frequently require this type of imaging. Having the new platform available locally will be a major benefit for both the podiatrist and the many patients who can now receive this care close to home.
The Foundation is grateful to donors whose generosity makes equipment purchases like this possible. Every contribution helps strengthen healthcare services in our region and ensures that residents can receive high‑quality care right here at home.
