The Taber & District Health Foundation is proud to partner once again with Taber Dairy Queen for Blizzard Day on Friday, May 29. A community tradition that turns a cool treat into meaningful support for local healthcare.

This year’s Blizzard Day proceeds will help purchase a new Nara Bassinet for the Labour & Delivery unit at the Taber Health Centre. With the number of babies born in Taber increasing by an incredible 200% over the past 2–3 years, the need for updated, safe, and easy‑to‑clean equipment has grown just as quickly.

Nara Bassinets provide a secure, hygienic environment for newborns and help staff meet infection‑control standards with ease. As deliveries rise, driven in part by the expanding midwife program, having enough bassinets ensures that families can stay close to home for their care. Without adequate equipment, some families may face early discharge or even transfer to other sites.
