Supporting a PANDA Baby Warmer

This year’s McHappy Day proceeds will help fund a PANDA baby warmer, an essential piece of equipment for newborn care.

Over the past five years, Labour and Delivery services have grown by 200%. With the department now busier than ever, staff have identified the urgent need for an additional PANDA warmer, especially as 2–3 babies are often delivered simultaneously. More than just a warmer, this unit supports resuscitation, stabilization, and oxygen monitoring, making it a critical tool for safe newborn care.

The new warmer will be dedicated to C‑section deliveries, but will be used anywhere in Labour and Delivery as needed. The total cost of this project is $45,000.

What McHappy Day Supports

McHappy Day is a nationwide McDonald’s initiative that brings communities together to help children and families. On May 6, a portion of every menu item sold at McDonald’s Taber will support:

• 75% supports local healthcare through the Foundation

• 25% supports families staying at the Ronald McDonald House Alberta
