The Foundation ensures that all funds received are managed prudently and that all funds are dispersed in keeping with the wishes of the donor.
We provide support to three main organizations in Taber and Area
Donor Fund Reach:
- AHS – The Taber Health Centre
- Good Samaritan Society - Linden View - Taber
- Taber & District Housing Foundation – which supports facilities in Taber (Clearview Lodge, Harmony Home, Homestead Manor and Pioneer Place Manor), Grassy Lake, Barnwell, and Vauxhall.
AHS philanthropic partners such as the Taber Health Foundation, exist to accelerate excellence and innovation in the health care system. Support from foundations does not impact the budget for a site. Rather, foundation support funds items, programs, and research that allow AHS to move beyond good care to exceptional care.
What type of support do donor funds provide? A few examples include:
AHS – The Taber Health Centre – surgical equipment so residents can undergo surgery locally in some cases rather than go to larger centers, ER Equipment such as monitors and stretchers, Recreation Therapy Equipment for Long Term Care and Acute Care residents, Equipment for Physiotherapy, Occupational Therapy, Speech Therapy as well as various other services.
Good Samaritan – Taber Linden View – Enhanced outdoor spaces, sensory equipment, Geri-chairs
Taber & District Housing Foundation – Enhanced outdoor spaces at several facilities, Home Theatre system at Clearview Lodge, and Tub to Shower renovations in various facilities
