2026 Fall Campaign: Bringing More Options, Closer to Home

Our Fall Campaign will run from October 13–17, with donations accepted through December 31, 2026. This year, we’re aiming for $200,000 to expand local access, enhance surgical options, and keep more care right here at home.

The campaign focuses on three major equipment additions that will strengthen the Taber Health Centre:

The nerve stimulator will introduce new surgical possibilities at the Taber Health Centre, including ENT surgery, head and neck oncology procedures and thyroidectomies. This means residents who previously had to travel to larger centres can now receive these procedures locally, surrounded by family and community support. 

The Neptune Waste Disposal System enhances safety and efficiency in the Operating Room by securely managing surgical fluids through a splash‑resistant, environmentally responsible system. It protects healthcare staff, improves workflow, and supports a cleaner surgical environment.

With both Operating Room suites currently under renovation, these upgrades will further expand future care options and strengthen local healthcare for years to come.

The slit lamp and tonometer will give the Emergency Room advanced tools to assess eye injuries quickly and accurately. Because Taber has such strong agricultural and industrial sectors, the potential for eye injuries are common, making this equipment incredibly important for our community. It allows patients to be evaluated and treated locally, rather than travelling to Lethbridge or Medicine Hat or waiting a full day to be seen. This upgrade keeps urgent care close to home when every minute matters.
